Santander Teleport joins forces with Hisdesat Servicios Estrategicos and Telefonica de España to provide advanced welfare and recreational services to Spanish forces deployed on ground and at sea in several areas of operations. A completely new network is being deployed to provide secured broadband internet access, telephone calls, e-learning, live TV as well as on demand content (TV series, movies, documentaries, books, news…). Users will be able to access these services through their own mobile devices (BYOD).
The World Teleport Association has chosen Santander Teleport as the winner of the prestigious Independent Teleport of the Year award at its annual ceremony meeting. This event takes place annually in the city of Washington during the Satellite trade show, of which Santander Teleport exhibits its services to the public.
Santander Teleport participates one more year as an exhibitor at the 2019 edition of the SATELLITE show held in Washington DC, to present its services to the satellite industry sector. This year, Santander Teleport has had the support of the ICEX, as well as the financing of European FEDER Funds, contributing according to the extent of these to the international growth of the company.
Santander Teleport and RBC Signals have joined forces to provide ground segment services to reposition a geostationary satellite to a new orbital location. The maneuver will enable the satellite to find a new home after several weeks of controlled drift completed later this year.
The World Teleport Association (WTA) has published its annual rankings of the Top Teleport Operators of 2018. The annual rankings of companies by revenue growth shows SANTANDER TELEPORT in the 8th position, making it to The Fast 10 ranking again this year. In last year´s edition of the same ranking, SANTANDER TELEPORT made it to the top position.
Our company has received the award for the SME of the Year from the Cantabria´s Chamber of Commerce, Banco Santander and El Diario Montanes. Santander Teleport is expanding its facilities as it continues to grow its Teleport Operations and Technical Services business. The company has recently acquired 8,500 sqm (about 2.1 acres) of land, of which approximately half of that is being converted into an extension of its antenna field.

Santander Teleport has once again made it to the Fast 20 Top Teleport Operators rank published by the
World Teleport Association (WTA), this time to lead this list.
Each year, WTA publishes the world's only rankings of companies that operate teleports for commercial
purposes. The Fast Twenty ranks all teleport-operating companies based on year-over-year revenue
growth. Santander Teleport, located in Spain, was the fastest of the fast with a 37% year-over-year growth
Santander Teleport has started to provide uplink services on a new antenna on Intelsat 33e, the second EPIC® satellite launched earlier this year. This fully redundant antenna operates in one of the satellite gateway beams providing access to Ku-band HTS coverage across Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
