Santander Teleport and Erzia Technologies have been at the centre stage of the latest promotional campaign for SME´s commissioned by Banco de Santander, the leading Spanish bank group and one of the largest in the world. A production house was hired to shoot at Erzia´s research laboratories and Santander Teleport´s satellite ground station. Luis Garcia, CEO, appears both in the TV commercial and the promotional posters available at bank branches in Spain.
A new contract has been awarded to Santander Teleport to provide access to the internet in North Africa. The service -which allows for a dedicated pool of satellite bandwidth to be shared across a number of sites - is enabling key remote locations to have access to the internet via local WiFi networks.
[Via Satellite 06-30-2015] X-band satellite communications company XTAR, in partnership with CopaSAT, Tampa Microwave, MTN and the Santander Teleport is donating satellite communications resources to relief efforts in Nepal following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck on April 25. The satellite operator is providing no cost space segment through the XTAR-EUR satellite. The Santander Teleport is providing access to its 12 meter X-band hub antenna in Spain, and in Nepal, Tampa Microwave personnel installed a 95 cm X-band manpack terminal in a remote location.
Erzia Technologies and sister company Santander Teleport have provided a rescue vessel with Maritime VSAT communications in a record time of less than 3 weeks from the first call to the sales team, including site survey, installation of a new VSAT antenna installed on board and commissioning of the end to end service. The commercial and technical teams worked very closely with the customer, end clients, vessel and shipyard personnel to ensure that communications would be ready in time.
Santander Teleport is supporting humanitarian relief efforts in Nepal by donating its X-band teleport facilities to provide satellite communication services in the region. Santander Teleport has been working with partners in delivering a satellite network to facilitate access to much needed communications in Nepal.

The PSOE Party started its Campaign in Santander, where Mr. Sanchez asserted that he was “grateful” for this “illustrative visit” and stated that he would like to “bet on a production model based on science, investigation and innovation”.

Santander Teleport is providing X-band teleport services for In-Orbit Testing of a recently launched commercial satellite in collaboration with a major satellite operator. The satellite was successfully launched on a Proton rocket from Baikonur Cosmodrome last December and will be delivering next generation broadcast, VSAT and broadband services in Europe, Middle East and Africa
Spanish Antarctic expedition uses VSAT services provided by Santander Teleport and Erzia to enable remote communications to scientists on board an oceanographic research vessel. The latest modem, traffic acceleration and data compression technologies have enabled the best use of the space segment on XTAR-LANT satellite, reducing bandwidth costs to the customer.
This X-band satellite service is fully managed by the Santander Teleport 24/7 Network Operations Centre.
Santander Teleport, along with Satcom Direct and MTNGOV, has successfully completed a live demonstration of a satellite transmission using five different aeronautical antennas. These unprecedented tests were carried out at our Spanish teleport facilities and will support our partners and customers in their ambition to provide first-class satellite services for the aero industry.
